OUR PROGRAM
Yoga & the Rhythms of Life Yoga Teacher Training is a 200 hour certification
program. The complete curriculum exceeds national standards for basic level yoga
teacher certification. Our small class sizes assure time and space for individual
attention. Some participants may want to deepen their practice of yoga for their own
enrichment; others know they want to be a yoga teacher.

We have found that life is yoga and yoga is life. Therefore, the program includes
and addresses “real life” in its curriculum, teaching methodology, philosophical
approach, and scheduling. Our program is offered in weekend modules with a
schedule that makes it accessible to those with family, school, work, and other
responsibilities.

We know that with even the best intentions and planning, you may have an
emergency or a conflict in your schedule, and need to miss a session. With prior
arrangements and for a small fee, we will record key portions of the training for you
and provide any new printed materials.

YOUR TRAINERS:
CONNIE MILLER, E-RYT 500, embodies a wealth of wisdom earned through more
than 45 years of learning, living, and teaching yoga. Connie brings not only precise
alignment and form to Yoga Asana, but also the invitation to explore the inner
movement of energy through the multi-dimensional body, honoring the innate
wisdom and full expression of the human spirit. An energetic, playful, and
compassionate teacher, Connie's trainings provide a dynamic experience that
empowers participants to touch and trust their own source of strength, wisdom, love
and joy, and integrate that knowing into their teaching and their actions in every-day
life.

MATTHEW MITLAS, E-RYT 200, Director & Lead Teacher of The Yoga Room,
is so happy and grateful for the gift of Yoga and the opportunity to share it with all of you!
Matthew began his practice in 2011 and immediately felt a strong connection to Yoga.
Shortly after his first class, he crossed paths with his mentor, Connie Miller, who trained him
privately for over 2 years in a program that prepared him to deepen his own practice
and to share with others from an authentic place in his heart. He has since completed
numerous advanced and therapeutic trainings. Matthew has a specific interest in
sequencing his classes in ways that make sense for the body- both physically and energetically.
In his classes, he often incorporates Yoga poses and other forms of movement that encourage
good posture and build resilience in the body and mind. Expect an accessible
yet challenging practice, weaved together with inspired, uplifting, and life-affirming philosophy,
that leaves you feeling great in your own body.
